ARCHBishop Raymond L.
As a dynamic visionary and an affirmed apostle, Archbishop Otey promotes unity in the body of Christ by establishing order and encouraging reform. His radical approach to the gospel of Jesus Christ appeals to people of all ages, cultures, creeds, and denominations.
On February 22nd 1963, Raymond Leroy Otey, Sr. was born in Spotsylvania to Mrs. Vivian and Deacon Richard Alvin Otey. In 1984, he married the former Lawana A. King of Burkburnett, TX a virtuous woman of God. Archbishop and International First Lady Otey are blessed with four talented and anointed children Raymond, Willie, Jamie, and Joan.
Archbishop Otey received his license to preach the gospel in November of 1982 from the St. Johns Baptist Church in Wichita Falls and was ordained in June of 1984 at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Oklaunion, TX. He served as Associate Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Electra, TX under the late Pastor Willie R. King and also as Associate Minister at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Garland, TX under the late Dr. James Rodgers.
In February of 1992, Archbishop Otey was installed as the Senior Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and began to teach biblically- based life changing perspectives concerning church leadership, ministry, and the Great Commission. Ministries began to form and flourish as people realized that the Bible intends for church to offer so much more than it had offered in the past. In June 2004, Mount Calvary Baptist Church became Mount Calvary Church International, Inc. as pastor and people entered a new dimension of transition.
He was affirmed as an Apostle on June 10th 2004 by Bishop Ralph L. Dennis of Kingdom Worship Center in Towson, Maryland and Bishop Trotter who serves as Chaplain of the Apostolic Council. Bishop Otey has numerous ministerial certifications including his Bachelors of Theology Degree from the Higher Learning Bible Institute in Richmond, Virginia. In 2015, Archbishop Elect Otey received his Master degree in Pastoral Studies and his Doctorate of Divinity Studies in 2016.
Because of his willingness to provide pastoral guidance and wise counsel to those in need, several pastors look to Archbishop Otey as a spiritual father. He truly loves the LORD and seeks to please Him in all that he does. Archbishop Elect Otey was given the official designation of Archbishop in August 2018 from his Spiritual father, Archbishop Dennis M. Golphin.
Archbishop Raymond L. Otey, Sr. has a world-class ministry and an apostolic anointing that is second to none. An anointing that breaks yolks, pulls down strongholds, restores shattered dreams and revives personal commitments to Christ. His anointing not only causes him to speak prophetically, but to teach people how to walk in what has been spoken over their lives. An anointing that teaches you to be real with God, so that God will become real to you.
